Your day begins on Edinburgh’s most famous street, The Royal Mile, where you’ll meet your driver-guide and begin your trip with an introduction to our capital city.
You'll then head south through the Scottish Borders towards your first stop, Melrose Abbey* - widely regarded as one of the most beautiful ruins in Europe.
We’ll then travel further south, stopping in Kelso to check out the beautiful ruined Abbey before crossing over the border into England!
Then it’s time for Alnwick Castle*. Fans of Harry Potter or Downton Abbey will recognise it from the screen. You may enjoy "broom-stick training” and will have the chance to take some fantastic photos. Or perhaps if you are feeling brave try a Lost Cellars Tour and hear grisly tales from Alnwick Castle’s past. To really join in with castle life you can play dress-up in some medieval finery. The Castle is also home to one of the finest private art collections and has many beautiful grand rooms to explore. The second largest inhabited castle in England really does have something for everyone!
The road home takes you up the stunning east coast, stopping in Berwick-Upon-Tweed where you can take in views of the Northumbrian coastline, before returning back to Edinburgh.
